Adding a Pop-Up to Squarespace

Adding your Donate Now, Pay Later form as a pop-up is the recommended way to install Donate Now, Pay Later. You can find general instructions by clicking here. However, this article dives a little deeper into adding this to your Squarespace website.

⚠️ Before You Start: 

The first step to installing this is to make sure the installation code is added to your website. The installation code must be installed to ensure that the modal opens as a pop-up on your website. This method will not work without the installation code.

Adding a Pop-Up to Squarespace

If your Donate button is in the site header, or if you wish to add a Donate button to the site header, begin by selecting EDIT on your website's backend.

Click on the header and select "Edit Site Header." In the pop-up box, select "Elements." The option at the top allows you to add a button. Turn the toggle on to add a button. Title the button "Donate," "Give," or whatever your organization prefers. 

In the space for the URL, add your website URL + your pop-up link from the portal.

To find your pop-up link, select the 3-dot menu next to the campaign name in your portal's Campaigns tab. Select Share. Copy the Website Pop-up Link code - this should begin with a ? followed by many letters and numbers.
