You can use a Campaign Identifier to track where gifts come from, or how they should be categorized in your CRM.
To do this, open the campaign of your choice and select the General tab. Under Campaign Details, you will see a text box for you to enter a Campaign Identifier. Enter the text you would like to use as your Campaign Identifier and click the blue "Publish" button in the top right corner of the page.
Now that you have a Campaign Identifier name saved, any gifts that are received through this form will display this in reports. To learn how to export a report, click here. The column in the report that displays your Campaign Identifier is called "campaign_identifier."
Use the campaign Identifier to direct gifts to specific funds, projects, or programs
You can also use the Campaign Identifier field to direct gifts to specific funds, projects, or recipients by creating a new campaign for each fund, project, or recipient, then setting a unique campaign identifier for each. Then you can generate and share a unique link for each item, so people can direct their gift by clicking on the appropriate link.
There is currently no way to offer a dropdown in the form for people to give to a specific fund, project, or program, but you can create a separate link for each item, and share that link to the appropriate place.
